In Alpha Shield, You are an assault ship that was designed to destroy Hyperion military bases. You must shoot the bases enough so that the energy meter at the bottom goes from the "+" to the "-". Once the meter gets to "-" the base will explode. Obviously, the base is not a sitting duck. There is a force field that expands and contracts, base defenders and, in higher rounds, shields.
